Lippan Art Materials

The traditional materials used in Lippan art include crushed shells, chalk powder, glue, natural pigments, a metal tool called a "kudta" and a mud wall or canvas. The crushed shells are mixed with chalk powder and glue to create the paste, which is then applied to the wall or canvas and carved with the kudta to create intricate designs. Pigments are added to the paste for color.
