The pack prints suitable for all paints; we have used them with acrylic, watercolour and poster colours.

• School art and hobby projects

Compatibility

Works with: acrylic, watercolour and poster colours on paper, canvas, wood and MDF.

Pairs well with: a paint palette and a stretched canvas.

Not suitable for: scrubbing rough walls or large house painting; the pack says suitable for all paints, but we have not tested oils, so we do not claim them.

How to Use

1. Dampen the brush before loading paint so colour does not dry into the ferrule.
2. Load paint on the lower half of the hair, not up to the metal.
3. Rinse straight after use, reshape the tip and dry the brushes flat or tip up.
4. Never leave brushes standing on their tips in water.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many brushes are in the Artist Quality set?
5 brushes: 3 flat and 2 round, with synthetic hair, black ferrules and wooden handles. Sizes are printed on the handles.

How is this different from the JAGS fan, flat and round set?
This set holds 3 flats and 2 rounds with black ferrules; the other 5 piece set swaps one brush for a fan brush.

Can I use these with acrylic on canvas?
Yes. The long handles suit easel work, and the synthetic hair takes acrylic, watercolour and poster colours. Wash before the paint dries.

Artist set or a student brush set, which should I pick?
Pick this set for canvas painting: 5 long handled brushes with two tone synthetic hair. Pick a student set such as the Camel Champ Lite pack of 4, with round 2, 4, 6 and flat 2 on short plastic handles, for school work.
