Not suitable for: outdoor or bathroom use, since raw MDF swells with moisture unless sealed, and any food contact.

How to Use

1. Seal the clean base with primer or diluted white glue.
2. Lay the tiles out dry inside the engraved lines so you can adjust them first.
3. Glue the tiles one section at a time, leaving a small even gap.
4. Let the adhesive cure fully before you grout.
5. Push grout into the gaps, wipe the tile faces with a damp cloth and let it set.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size is this mosaic base?
It is 12 Inch (30.5cm) across at its widest point and 6.6mm thick.

How is the 12 inch base different from the 8 inch one?
This one is 12 Inch (30.5cm), the smaller one is 8 inch. The design and the 6.6mm thickness are the same, so the 12 inch base takes more tiles and makes a bigger piece.

Which tiles work on this base?
Glass mosaic tiles, ceramic tiles and mirror pieces all work; small squares fit the engraved lines most easily.

Should I pick this mosaic base or a plain MDF board?
This base has the design engraved as guide lines, so a beginner knows where each colour goes. A plain MDF board is a blank surface, better if you want to draw your own design.
