Frequently Asked Questions

How many colours are in the Brustro 24 shade acrylic set?
24 shades in 12ml tubes.

How is it different from the Brustro acrylic set of 12?
This set has 24 shades and the other has 12. Both use 12ml tubes.

Can I thin it with water?
Yes. The maker says it can be used straight from the tube, diluted with water or mixed with acrylic mediums.

Acrylic or gouache: which should I pick?
Acrylic thins with water or mediums and suits canvas, board and wood. Gouache, such as the Brustro Artists gouache set, is opaque, dries matte and rewets with water, so it suits paper. Pick acrylic for canvas and board, gouache for flat matte colour on paper.
