Compatibility
Works with: primed canvas, canvas board and oil painting paper.
Pairs well with: hog bristle brushes, a palette knife, and a picture varnish once the painting is properly dry.
Not suitable for: mixing with water. Oil colour needs an oil based thinner or medium, and it will not sit over a wet acrylic layer.
How to Use
- Work on a primed surface, since raw canvas will drink the oil.
- Squeeze out a little at a time onto a palette.
- Thin or extend with an oil painting medium, never with water.
- Paint thicker layers over thinner ones so the surface dries evenly.
- Let the painting dry fully before you varnish it.

- Brushes, palette and painting medium are not included.
- Oils dry slowly, so plan for days rather than minutes between layers.
- Clean up needs a solvent or an oil brush cleaner. Water will not do it.
