Frequently Asked Questions

What size is the Camel 24x24 inch canvas in centimetres?
It is 24x24 Inch (61.0x61.0cm), one canvas on a wedge joint wooden frame.

How does it compare with the 20x30 inch Camel Artist canvas?
This one is 24x24 Inch (61.0x61.0cm). The 20x30 Inch (50.8x76.2cm) size gives a larger painting area on the same cotton, primer and frame.

Can I use both oil and acrylic on it?
Yes. The maker rates this canvas for oil and acrylic painting, and the triple acrylic primer means no extra gesso is needed.

Should I pick a stretched canvas or a canvas board?
A stretched canvas is cotton pulled over a wooden frame, so it hangs without a frame and the wedges let you tighten it again. A canvas board is primed canvas on a flat board that stores easily, so pick a board for practice and studies and stretched canvas for finished work.
