Frequently Asked Questions
What size is this Camel Kromelab rectangular canvas?
It is a rectangular stretched canvas, 6 x 8 inch (about 15 x 20 cm), on a wooden frame.
How is it different from the 8 x 10 inch Kromelab canvas?
The 8 x 10 inch size gives you more painting area for a fuller composition. This 6 x 8 inch canvas is quicker to finish and easier to display on a desk or shelf.
Can I use oil paint on this canvas?
The maker lists this range for general painting and states an acid free, natural grain surface, but does not list oil. We recommend acrylics; for oils, the Camel Artist stretched cotton canvas is rated by the maker for oil and acrylic.
Is it ready to paint on?
Yes. It comes white and ready for acrylic straight from the pack. Add a coat of gesso only if you want extra tooth.
