About This Product 💥
Key feature
Overview
A pocketable pad with paper heavy enough to take real work. This Camel Sketch Book is A5 with 30 perforated sheets of 140 GSM natural shade paper, so a pencil line sits crisp, an ink pen does not bleed through the way it would on cartridge paper, and a finished page tears out cleanly for framing or scanning. The top spiral means it opens flat and suits both left and right handers.

Ideal For
- Students carrying a sketchbook to class
- Urban sketchers and travel journallers
- Anyone practising daily drawing in a small format
- Pen and ink, graphite and charcoal work
Perfect for
- Pencil and charcoal studies
- Pen and ink line drawing and hatching
- Travel sketching and life drawing practice
- Rough layouts before a final piece
Compatibility
Works with: graphite pencils, charcoal, ink pens, fineliners and coloured pencils.
Pairs well with: a blending stump and a kneadable eraser for graphite and charcoal work.
Not suitable for: heavy wet washes. At 140 GSM this is a sketch paper, not a watercolour paper, so a soaked page will cockle. Use a watercolour pad for wet work.
Before You Buy
- The sheets are natural shade rather than bright white, which softens contrast slightly.
- 30 sheets in the book.
- Marker ink can ghost through 140 GSM paper, so put a spare sheet behind the page you are working on.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sheets does this sketch book have?
30 perforated sheets of 140 GSM paper, in A5 size.
How is this different from a watercolour pad?
This is 140 GSM sketch paper built for dry media and ink. A watercolour pad uses heavier, more absorbent paper made to take water without buckling.
Can I use markers in it?
Yes for light work, but alcohol markers can ghost through at this weight. Slip a spare sheet behind the page.
Do the pages tear out cleanly?
Yes. The sheets are perforated, so a finished drawing comes out with a straight edge.
