Turn a thick resin pour, wood slice or layered MDF board into a working wall clock with this ticking quartz movement. It has a 28mm spindle for boards up to 17mm thick, takes hands with a 5.1mm hour hole and runs on one AA battery, not included. The long threaded shaft must pass through the face and still leave thread for the nut.

Compatibility

Works with: standard clock hands with a 5.1mm hour hole and a 3.3mm oblong minute hole, on boards up to 17mm thick.

Pairs well with: clock hands, a clock number ring and a hanger hook.

Not suitable for: boards outside the up to 17mm range, or minute hands longer than about 150mm.

How to Use

1. Measure your board, including any dial sheet or backing, and check it is up to 17mm.
2. Take off the nut and washer; slip on a hanger hook if you use one.
3. Push the shaft through the centre hole from the back, put the washer on at the front and tighten the nut until the movement sits firmly.
4. Point every hand at 12 as you fit it: hour hand first, then minute, then second.
5. Put in one AA battery and set the time with the knob on the back.
