Cretacolor Sanguine Oil Pencils | Medium | Pack of 3 - Portrait & Figure Drawing

Draw warm red brown portraits with a line that smudges less than chalk. This pack holds 3 Cretacolor Sanguine Oil pencils in medium grade; the oil binder gives a rich, matte line that sits on the paper without the dust of dry sanguine chalk. Frequently Asked Questions

How many Cretacolor Sanguine Oil pencils are in the pack?
3 pencils in medium grade.

How is this different from the Cretacolor Sepia Oil pencils?
This pack is 3 sanguine pencils in medium grade, a warm red brown; the sepia pack is 3 pencils in dark grade, a cooler dark brown.

Can I blend it?
Yes, with a paper stump or cloth, though it smudges less than dry charcoal.

Sanguine oil pencil or graphite pencil, which should I pick?
A sanguine oil pencil gives a warm red brown matte line that suits skin and classical studies; a graphite pencil gives a grey line with a slight sheen and erases more easily. Pick sanguine for portraits on toned paper, graphite for everyday sketching and corrections.
