About This Product ๐ฅ
Key feature
Overview
Cast the sculpted face vessel that sits on every design shelf right now, with four calm profiles wrapping the outside and a deep well for wax. This is a cylinder mould with serene sculpted faces around the outer wall and an open well inside. The flexible silicone peels back off the detail, so the cast piece comes out whole rather than chipped at the edges.

- Small businesses casting candle vessels to sell
- Beginners, since silicone releases without a mould release in most cases
- Anyone furnishing a shelf or table with matching pieces
Creative Uses and Project Ideas
Perfect for:
- Sculptural candle vessels for a living room
- Minimalist concrete planters for small succulents
- Statement pen and brush pots
Compatibility
Works with: epoxy resin, plaster of Paris, cement, concrete and jesmonite, candle wax, and melt and pour soap base.
Pairs well with: resin pigments and mica powders, dried and pressed flowers, gold leaf, tealight candles, and cotton or pre waxed wicks.
Not suitable for: food use, since no food grade rating is stated for this mould. Not for oven baking or direct flame, and not to be used as the burning vessel itself. Always sit a tealight in its own metal or acrylic cup.
How to Use
- Wash the new mould in warm soapy water, rinse and dry it fully before the first pour.
- Sit the mould level on a flat board so the rim sets true and the piece does not lean.
- Mix your resin, plaster or cement and pour in a slow, thin stream down the inside wall rather than into the middle.
- Tap or vibrate the board for a full minute so air trapped in the detail rises out before the mix thickens.
- Top up any dip that forms as the mix settles, then leave it strictly alone.
- Let the piece cure fully to the time your material states, since an early release is what tears an edge.
- Peel the silicone back from one side rather than pulling the piece out, and work round the rim.
- Sand any seam line with fine paper, then seal cement or plaster if you plan to add wax.
Before You Buy
- Sold as the silicone mould only. Resin, plaster, cement, wax, wick and pigment are not included.
- No food grade rating and no heat rating are stated for this mould, so keep it to resin, cement, plaster, wax and soap, and pour at the lowest workable temperature.
- The mould is white silicone. The coloured pieces in the photographs are finished casts, not the mould.
- The size given is the mould, so the finished piece sits slightly inside those figures.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size piece does this mould cast?
The mould measures 6 x 8 x 8 cm, so the cast piece comes out just inside those figures once it shrinks back.
How is this different from the plain Honeycomb Pot, which is textured rather than figurative?
That is the closest piece in the range. Cast the sculpted face vessel that sits on every design shelf right now, with four calm profiles wrapping the outside and a deep well for wax. Pick by the shape you want on the shelf, since both pour the same way.
Can I pour cement and jesmonite in it as well as resin?
Yes. Flexible silicone takes epoxy resin, plaster of Paris, cement, concrete, jesmonite, candle wax and melt and pour soap base. No food grade rating is stated for this mould, so keep it to craft casting.
Do I need a mould release?
Usually not. Silicone releases resin and cured cement on its own if you let the piece set fully. A very light release helps on deep or heavily textured pieces and keeps fine detail from tearing.
