About This Product 💥
Key feature
Paint on cloth and keep it soft. Fevicryl Fabric Colour Soft in White 506 is a 100 ml fabric paint that dries with a soft finish, so a painted T-shirt, dupatta or tote bag still moves and folds like cloth. Fevicryl states that the colour is ready to use with no medium, needs no ironing to fix, and is colour fast after 7 days.

- School and college art projects on cloth

Perfect for
- Base coat on dark fabric so bright shades show clearly
- Highlights and lettering on black and navy T-shirts
- Mixing with other Fabric Colour Soft shades to make lighter tints
- Stencilled designs on tote bags, cushion covers and dupattas
- Dots, borders and mandala work on sarees and kurtas
Compatibility
Works with: fabric and fabric based articles such as cotton T-shirts, tote bags, cushion covers and dupattas. The pack also lists metal, terracotta, wood and canvas.
Pairs well with: Fevicryl 3D outliners for raised borders, fabric stencils, flat and round brushes, and a card or paper sheet placed inside the garment.
Not suitable for: glass or transparent effects, and for washing before the 7 day curing period. It is a surface paint, not a dye, so it will not recolour a whole garment evenly.
Before You Buy
- Brush not included.
- Remove starch from new cotton fabric before painting, or the colour may not hold well.
- Wait 7 days before the first wash. Fevicryl states the colour is colour fast after this period.
- This is the soft finish fabric range, not the multi surface Fevicryl Acrylic Colours range. Choose this one when the piece must stay soft.
How to Use
- Wash the fabric to remove starch, dry it and iron it flat.
- Slip a card or thick paper inside a garment so colour does not go through to the back.
- Shake the bottle and paint straight from it with a brush. No medium is needed.
- Let the first coat dry, then add a second coat for solid, even cover.
- Leave the piece for 7 days before washing. No ironing is needed to fix the colour.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to iron the fabric after painting?
No. Fevicryl states that Fabric Colour Soft does not need ironing to fix the colour. Just let it dry and give it 7 days before the first wash.
How is this different from Fevicryl Acrylic Colours?
Fabric Colour Soft is made for cloth and dries with a soft finish so the fabric stays flexible. Fevicryl Acrylic Colours are the multi surface range and sit firmer on fabric. Pick this bottle when the piece must stay soft, such as a T-shirt or dupatta.
How is White 506 different from Black 501?
Both are the same 100 ml Fabric Colour Soft. White 506 is the base coat for dark fabric and the shade you mix in to lighten other colours. Black 501 gives outlines, lettering and dark backgrounds.
Can I use it on a cotton tote bag or a cushion cover?
Yes. Fevicryl lists fabric and fabric based articles as the intended surface. Remove starch first, paint, and wait 7 days before washing.
Is a brush included?
No. The pack is one 100 ml bottle of white 506. White usually needs two coats on dark fabric for a clean, bright base.
