- Handmade jewellery finishing
Compatibility
Works with: beading cord, fine chain and jump rings.
Pairs well with: crimp beads and jump rings.
Not suitable for: heavy chains or thick cord.
How to Use
- Fix each half of the clasp to one end of the cord or chain with a jump ring or crimp.
- Thread the two halves together until they sit snug.
- Unscrew to open; avoid forcing the thread.
Before You Buy
- These are plated base metal, and the gold finish can dull with wear.
- We give no skin contact or allergy rating for these plated findings, so test against skin before long wear.
- A spring ring or lobster clasp opens faster; a screw barrel takes a few turns but will not spring open.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these screw barrel clasps 5mm?
Yes. Each clasp is 5mm (0.2 inch) across, and the pack holds 10 clasps.
How is a screw barrel different from a spring ring clasp?
A screw barrel threads shut and stays closed; a 5mm spring ring clasp snaps shut with a pull tab and is quicker to open.
