About This Product ๐ฅ
Key feature
Setting an eyelet by hand never quite works. This plier does the job in one squeeze, folding the back of the eyelet out so it grips the material and stays put. It comes with 100 eyelets to start with, so you can fix a belt, lace a bag or finish a run of canvas tags the day it arrives.

Ideal For
- Small businesses making tags, labels and fabric packaging
- Bag, belt and leather makers setting lacing holes
- Home repairs on shoes, curtains and tote bags
- Craft rooms that set eyelets often enough to want a proper tool
Perfect for
- Belts, straps and shoe lacing holes
- Canvas banners, tote bags and shower curtains
- Tags, labels and card packaging
- Repairing a torn hole in fabric before it spreads
Compatibility
Works with: card, canvas, cotton fabric, felt, thin leather, faux leather and the eyelets supplied with the tool.
Pairs well with: metal eyelets in matching sizes, a hole punch, ribbons and laces.
Not suitable for: thick multi layer leather, webbing heavier than the jaw can close on, or large curtain grommets that need their own die set.
How to Use
- Mark the spot and punch a hole to match the eyelet barrel. The supplier notes that the hole should be punched first, so make the hole before you set.
- Push the eyelet through from the front, so the flat rim sits on the face of the work.
- Turn the work over and sit the barrel in the jaw of the plier.
- Squeeze firmly and evenly in one action, then release.
- Check the front. The rim should sit flat and the hole should stay round and open.
Before You Buy
- The eyelets supplied come in gold or silver and the colour varies by batch, so treat the photo as a guide rather than a promise.
- The supplier text says the hole is punched first, before the eyelet is set, so a separate punch is worth having.
- The tool suits the eyelet size supplied with it. Much larger curtain or tarpaulin grommets need a different die set.
- Test on a scrap of the same material first. Once an eyelet is set it does not come out cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many eyelets come with the tool?
One hundred, supplied with the plier. Their colour is gold or silver and varies by batch.
Does it punch the hole as well as set the eyelet?
The supplier says to punch the hole first and then set the eyelet, so plan on using a punch for the hole. The plier is what closes the eyelet properly.
What materials can I use it on?
Card, canvas, cotton fabric, felt, thin leather and faux leather all work. Thick layered leather and heavy webbing are beyond what the jaw can close on.
How is this different from buying eyelets on their own?
Loose eyelets still need something to close them. This is the tool that does that, and it arrives with 100 eyelets so you are not buying two things to finish one job.
