Put a clean hole through a cured resin piece, a bead or a shell without cracking it. This is a set of 10 HSS twist drill bits in graduated sizes, made for the fine hole work that a full size drill is far too coarse for. The bits are supplied on their own, so you will need a pin vise, hand drill or rotary tool to hold them.

Not suitable for: masonry, glass, tile or hardened steel. These are fine bits for soft materials and they will snap under side pressure.

How to Use

1. Fit the bit into the chuck or collet and tighten it until it holds without slipping.
2. Mark the hole position and start a shallow dent so the bit does not wander.
3. Hold the workpiece steady on a scrap board, never in your hand.
4. Drill straight down with light pressure and let the bit cut at its own pace.
5. Back the bit out every few turns to clear the swarf, then finish the hole.

• No drill, pin vise or handle is included. This is a bit set only.
• Fine bits snap if pushed sideways. Keep the drill upright and let it cut slowly.
• Drill cured resin only. Soft or tacky resin will clog the flutes.
