How to Use

1. Take only what you need and reseal the rest straight away.
2. Knead the piece until it is even and free of cracks before shaping.
3. Build thick forms over a core rather than solid, so they dry evenly.
4. Smooth the surface with a damp fingertip while the clay is still soft.
5. Leave the piece on a flat surface to dry right through before painting or sealing.

Before You Buy

• This is an air dry clay. It hardens in the open air and must not be baked or fired.
• Drying time depends on thickness and on the weather, so a thick piece takes considerably longer than a thin one.
• Air dry clay shrinks a little as it dries, so build slightly larger than the finished size you want.
• Reseal the pack tightly after every use. Clay left open dries out in the bag and cannot be recovered.

How is air dry clay different from polymer clay?
Polymer clay stays soft until you bake it and only hardens in an oven. Air dry clay hardens by itself in the open air and must never be baked. They are not interchangeable.

Can I paint it?
Yes. Acrylic paint holds well on the dried white surface. Wait until the piece is dry all the way through, not just on the outside.

Can I make a mug or a plate with it?
Not for real use. Air dry clay is not fired and is not made for anything that will hold liquid or be washed. Keep it to decorative pieces.
