Compatibility

How to Use

1. Wash the new mould in warm soapy water, rinse and dry it fully before the first pour.
2. Sit the mould level on a flat tray so the wax surface sets flat.
3. Melt your wax, add colour and fragrance off the heat, and let it cool a little before pouring.
4. Pour slowly into the middle of the coil so the thin spiral sections fill without trapping air.
5. Tap the tray gently to release bubbles from the fine detail.
6. Leave it to set fully at room temperature, ideally a few hours, and do not rush it in the fridge.
7. Flex the sides outward and peel the silicone back rather than pulling the candle out.
8. Fit a wick with a wick sticker, or drill a wick hole once the candle is firm.

Can I pour resin or soap in this mould instead of wax?

Yes, flexible silicone takes epoxy resin, plaster and melt and pour soap base as well as wax. We publish no food grade rating for this mould, so keep it for craft casting rather than anything edible.

Do I need a mould release spray?

Usually not. Silicone releases wax and resin on its own if the piece is fully set. A very light release helps with sticky soy blends, and it makes the fine spiral detail come away cleanly.
