The white silicone mould carries the fine coiled detail of a real jalebi, so a plain pour of soy wax comes out looking like mithai with no carving. It measures 2x6cm (0.8x2.4 inch) with one cavity, which suits a flat votive style candle for a Diwali thali, a gift box or a festive table.

Compatibility

Works with: soy wax, paraffin wax, beeswax, gel wax, epoxy resin, plaster of Paris and melt and pour soap base.

Not suitable for: food use, oven baking, direct flame or use as a burning vessel. We state no food grade rating for this mould, so use it for wax, soap and resin.

How to Use

1. Wash and dry the mould and sit it level on a flat tray.
2. Melt the wax, add colour and fragrance off the heat and let it cool a little.
3. Pour slowly into the middle of the coil so the thin spiral fills without trapping air.
4. Tap the tray, then let it set fully at room temperature.
5. Flex the sides outward and peel the silicone back to release the candle.

This silicone mould flexes, so it releases a shaped, detailed candle without cracking it. The polycarbonate pillar moulds we sell are rigid and give a smooth, glossy plain pillar. Pick silicone for shaped mithai candles and polycarbonate for plain pillars.
