Frequently Asked Questions

What colours are in this charcoal pencil set?
Five pencils: black, sepia, sanguine and 2 white, each with a 4mm core.

What paper suits these pencils?
Paper with some tooth, especially grey or tan toned paper, where the white and sanguine stand out.

Should I pick charcoal pencils or graphite pencils?
Charcoal gives a deep matt black that blends and smudges, good for portraits and tone. Graphite is shinier and cleaner for line work and technical sketches.
