Kids Canvas Painting Kit | Koala | 6x6 Inch | 6 Colours, Brush & Palette - Gift

Everything a child needs to paint a first real canvas comes in one pack. This kit has a 6x6 Inch (15.2x15.2cm) stretched canvas pre-printed with a koala hugging a branch, with leaves, flowers and clouds around it in a cartoon style, plus 6 acrylic colours of 3ml each, a paint brush and a mixing palette. The black outline shows exactly where to paint, and the wooden frame means the finished piece can stand on a shelf or hang on a wall straight away.

Compatibility

Works with: the acrylic colours in the kit, and extra acrylic or poster colours if you want more shades.

Pairs well with: a small tabletop easel for painting upright and for display.

Not suitable for: watercolour washes, since stretched canvas is made for thicker paint, not very wet techniques.

How to Use

1. Cover the table and keep a cup of water and a cloth nearby.
2. Squeeze a little of each colour into the palette; mix new shades there, such as red and yellow for orange.
3. Paint the large areas first, then the small details.
4. Rinse the brush in water before switching colours, and wash it before the paint dries on it.
5. Let the painting dry fully before standing it up or hanging it.

Before You Buy

• The kit has 6 colours; other shades are made by mixing them on the palette.
• The palette shape may differ from the one in the photo.
• Acrylic colour is hard to remove once dry, so dress children in old clothes and wash the brush straight after use.
• Not the same as the pre-printed canvas sheets, which are flat A4 sheets sold with no paints; this is a 6x6 Inch stretched canvas with paints, brush and palette included.

You will Need

Nothing extra: the kit holds the canvas, 6 colours, a brush and a palette. Keep a cup of water and a cloth handy for rinsing the brush.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the koala canvas painting kit?
A 6x6 Inch (15.2x15.2cm) stretched canvas pre-printed with the koala, 6 acrylic colours of 3ml each in white, yellow, red, green, blue and black, 1 paint brush and 1 mixing palette.

How is the koala kit different from the parrot kit?
Both kits have the same 6x6 Inch canvas, 6 colours, brush and palette. The koala scene has leaves, flowers and clouds around the animal, so it takes a little longer; the parrot is a single bird with open space around it.

Can I use my own paints on this canvas?
Yes. The canvas takes acrylic and poster colours, so you can add more shades from your own set.

Painting kit or a pre-printed canvas sheet, which should I pick?
This kit is a 6x6 Inch stretched canvas with 6 colours, a brush and a palette, so pick it when you want a complete gift or party activity. The pre-printed canvas sheets are flat A4 sheets with no paints, better value when you already have colours and want a bigger picture.
