Cast leafy branches, a rose and single leaves from this off white silicone mould and build a floral border in one session. The mould measures 19x12cm (7.5x4.7 inch), so the branches are long enough to wrap a candle or frame a mirror.

Compatibility

Not suitable for: food, cake decorating or chocolate, since we state no food grade rating for this mould, and sharp tools, which cut the silicone.

How to Use

1. Wipe the mould clean and dry, since dust shows on a resin or wax cast.
2. Press clay in firmly from the centre outwards, or pour resin or wax slowly into one corner so air can escape.
3. Level the back flush with a card or blade, then leave the piece to set, dry or cure fully.
4. Flex the silicone back from the edges and lift the piece out rather than pulling it.

Air dry clay hardens in the open air and shrinks a little, so pick it for wall art and decor. Polymer clay only sets once baked and does not shrink, so pick it for jewellery and fine detail, and lift it out of the mould before baking.
