Light Gold Thread Tassels | 2 Inch | Pack of 12 - Saree Kuchu & Latkan

A saree kuchu tassel that is already finished, so you are stitching rather than making. Each one is about 2 Inch of soft light gold thread with a small beaded moti ring at the top and a loop to sew through. Twelve in the pack, all the same shade, which is what you want when a pallu needs an even run of them.

How to Use

1. Lay the tassels out along the edge first and mark even spacing before you fix any of them.
2. Pass a needle through the loop at the top and stitch it to the fabric with matching thread, two or three passes per tassel.
3. For jewellery, open a jump ring, slide the loop on and close the ring flush.
4. Comb the skirt straight and trim the ends level once everything is attached.

Before You Buy

• Twelve tassels in one shade, so a long pallu run may need more than one pack.
• The moti ring is part of the tassel top and is not removable.
• Shade can vary slightly between dye lots, so buy what you need for a set in one go.
• Thread tassels shed a few loose strands when they are new. Comb them straight with your fingers and trim the very ends level.
• Colour is dyed onto thread, so keep them away from damp and test against a pale fabric before you stitch them onto anything light.
• Stitch or knot them on rather than gluing, since glue stiffens the skirt and shows through the thread.
