How to Use

1. Mark the spot and punch a hole close to 3mm so the eyelet barrel just slips through.
2. Push the eyelet in from the front, with the flat rim sitting flush on the face of the work.
3. Turn the piece over so the barrel points up at you.
4. Set it with an eyelet tool or grommet plier, so the barrel splays out and grips the material.
5. Check the front. The rim should sit flat with no gap and the hole should stay open and round.

Before You Buy

• An eyelet setting tool or grommet plier is needed to close these. They do not press in by hand.
• The hole through the middle is 3mm, so check your cord, ribbon or lace fits before you buy.
• The count is approximate at about 100 to 110 pieces, since these are packed by weight.
• Once set, an eyelet is not meant to come out again, so test on a scrap first.

What size hole do I punch for these?
Punch close to 3mm. The barrel is 3mm across on the inside and 6mm across the rim, so a 3mm hole lets the eyelet slip in while the rim still covers the cut edge.

Do I need a special tool to fit them?
Yes. An eyelet setting tool or a grommet plier splays the back of the barrel so it grips. Pressing by hand will not hold.

Will these work on leather and canvas?
On thin leather, faux leather, canvas and fabric, yes. On thick leather or several heavy layers the 4mm barrel runs out of length and will not fold over cleanly.
