- Plan the grove and space the palms unevenly, since a straight row reads as fake.
- Push the tapered trunk base straight into sand, foam or clay.
- On a hard base, drill a small hole and glue the trunk in.
- Bend the fronds apart by hand so no two palms look identical.
- Build sand, gravel or grass around the base to hide the join.
