Not suitable for: sharp tools or cutters inside the cavity, which can tear the silicone.
How to Use
- Wash the mould with mild soap and water, dry it fully and set it on a flat, level surface.
- Mix epoxy resin and hardener in the ratio your resin maker gives, stirring slowly to limit bubbles.
- Add pigment, mica or inclusions if you like, then pour slowly into the deepest part first and let it level out.
- Pop surface bubbles, cover against dust and leave it for the full cure or setting time your maker states.
- Flex the silicone away from each edge and ease the piece out without pulling on thin parts.
Before You Buy
- Resin, pigments and tools are sold separately.
- We state no food grade rating for this mould, so use it for resin and craft work rather than for food.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size is the moon and star dish mould?
It measures 16x15.5x2cm (6.3x6.1x0.8 inch) and the mould weighs 314g.
How is it different from the star tray mould?
This one casts crescent moon and star dishes at 16x15.5x2cm; the star tray mould casts one open star tray of 15.5x15.5cm.
Can I colour the resin or add flowers to the moon dish?
Yes. Mica powder, alcohol ink and opaque pigments mix into epoxy resin, and dried or pressed flowers sit well in a thin first layer before you top it up.
Should I use epoxy resin or UV resin here?
Epoxy resin cures right through a full pour over the time your resin maker states, so pick it for a solid piece in one go. UV resin cures only thin layers under a UV lamp, so pick it when you want quick, thin layers and have a lamp.
