Frequently Asked Questions

How much can the 36mm pot magnet hold?
It is listed as up to 43kg on clean, flat, thick steel; real use is usually lower.

How does this size compare with the next one?
This one is 36mm across and rated 43kg; the next size up is 42mm across and rated 65kg.

What rope should I tie to it?
Use a strong rope or cord rated above the weight you plan to lift, tied through the eye with a secure knot.

Pot magnet or plain neodymium disc?
A pot magnet sits in a steel cup that turns the pull onto its flat face and carries an eye hook for rope, so it suits lifting, hanging and magnet fishing. A plain disc has no hook and suits closures and craft fixing.
