Pointed Round Watercolour Brush Set | 9 Pcs - Washes & Detail

Paint from full washes to hairline detail with nine pointed round brushes. Each brush has a long tapered tip of black and grey hair, a gunmetal ferrule and a black handle with a cream end printed Round 3357B and its size number, and the nine come in graded sizes on one card. A pointed round holds plenty of paint in its belly for washes and comes to a fine point for lines, so it is the one shape most watercolour painters reach for first.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many brushes are in this pointed round set?
Nine pointed round brushes in graded sizes, each numbered on the handle.

How is this set different from the JAGS round set of 6?
This set has 9 pointed rounds with black and grey hair for watercolour. The JAGS round set has 6 rounds with synthetic hair for acrylic and craft work.

Can I use these brushes with acrylic paint?
Thin, fluid acrylic is fine if you rinse straight away, but the set is made for watercolour, gouache and ink. Thick acrylic will spoil the fine points.

Should I pick pointed rounds or flat brushes for watercolour?
Pointed rounds hold a lot of water and come to a fine tip, so one brush paints washes and lines. Flats give straight edges and even bands. Beginners usually start with rounds and add a flat later.
