Frequently Asked Questions

How many scraper ribs are in the pack?
The pack holds 6 plastic scraper ribs.

What are the serrated edges for?
They score clay before joining and comb ridges or lines for texture.

How is this different from the 5 piece rib set?
This pack has 6 flat scraper ribs, most with serrated edges; the 5 piece set has 5 beige ribs in teardrop, triangle and long shapes.

Should I pick plastic or stainless steel clay tools?
Plastic tools shape, smooth and cut soft clay and wash in warm water, but they are not made for carving leather hard clay. Stainless steel tools have sharper edges that cut cleaner detail and firmer clay, so pick steel for detailed sculpting and plastic for soft clay and younger makers.
