About This Product ๐ฅ
Key feature
Pour one long 30 cm loaf and slice it into as many bars as you want, which is how most cold process soap gets made. The channel is 5 cm square in section and takes about a kilo of batter per pour, so a single batch turns into a dozen bars at a thickness you decide rather than one the mould decides for you. The silicone flexes right back so the whole loaf lifts out in one piece without lining.

Ideal For
- Cold process soap makers working in batches
- Small businesses producing a consistent bar range
- Makers who want to control bar thickness at the cutting stage
- Layered and swirled soap designs that need a long run
- Anyone moving up from cavity trays to loaf making
Perfect for
- Pour a 1 kg cold process batch and cut bars to your own thickness
- Build horizontal layers down the length of the loaf
- Drag a hanger swirl through the full 30 cm run
- Cast a wax slab to cut into blocks or melts
- Make a deep resin bar or bookend blank
Compatibility
Works with: cold process soap batter, melt and pour soap base, candle and soy wax, and deep pour resin.
Pairs well with: soap bases, for a melt and pour loaf that sets and slices the same day.
Not suitable for: shaped individual bars, since this casts one plain rectangular loaf; and food use, since we state no food-grade rating for this mould.
Before You Buy
- The sides will bow outward under a full 1 kg pour unless you support the mould in a box or between boards.
- Mould colour is assigned by the maker on availability and will vary from the photographs.
- The mould is supplied on its own. Soap base, oils, lye, fragrance and a cutter are all separate.
- We state no food-grade rating for this mould, so use it for soap, wax and resin rather than for food.
- A cold process loaf needs 24 to 48 hours in the mould, then a full cure on a rack before use.
How to Use
- Support the mould in a wooden box or against two rigid boards, since a full loaf will bow the sides outward.
- Bring the batter to a light trace, then pour steadily along the length of the channel.
- Tap and bang the supported mould on the bench to knock out air pockets.
- Insulate and leave a cold process loaf for 24 to 48 hours before unmoulding.
- Peel the silicone away from all four sides, then invert and lift the mould off the loaf.
- Cut bars with a straight blade or a soap cutter, then cure them on a rack.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much soap does this hold?
The channel measures 5 x 5 x 30 cm, about 2 x 2 x 12 inch, and the maker rates it at about 1 kg per pour.
How many bars will I get?
That depends on how thick you cut them. A 30 cm loaf gives twelve bars at 2.5 cm or ten at 3 cm, and you decide at the cutting stage.
How is this different from the 4 cavity 125g mould?
The cavity mould gives four finished bars straight out of the tray. This one gives a single loaf you slice yourself, so you control both the thickness and the bar count.
Do I need to line it?
No. Silicone releases without lining or greasing. What it does need is side support, since 1 kg of batter will push the walls out unless the mould sits in a box.
