About This Product ๐ฅ
Key feature
Cast five handmade rakhis in one pour, each with the thread hole already formed so you never have to drill through cured resin. This white silicone mould holds five cavities of about 1 inch in assorted shapes, round, scalloped round, oval, rounded rectangle and a curved wave, and it flexes right back so finished pieces pop out without prising.

Ideal For
- Resin beginners making their first batch of rakhis
- Small businesses casting rakhis to sell before Raksha Bandhan
- Hobby crafters personalising rakhis for family
Before You Buy
- Resin, hardener, pigment and thread are not included.
- Cavities are about 1 inch, sized for rakhi charms and pendants rather than coasters.
- Charms come out with a flat back, so plan the design face up.
- Small cast pieces are a choking risk, so keep them away from young children.
Perfect for
- Handmade resin rakhis for Raksha Bandhan
- Pendants, charms and keyring blanks
- Dried flower and glitter inclusion pieces
- Batch casting for craft stalls and gift hampers
Compatibility
Works with: epoxy resin, UV resin, mica pigment powder, alcohol ink, glitter, dried flowers and small sequins.
Pairs well with: rakhi threads, beads and kundan for finishing the cast charm.
Not suitable for: high heat casting, and it is not sold as food safe, so keep it to craft use only.
How to Use
- Wipe the mould clean and dry so no dust sits in the cavities.
- Mix your resin and hardener to the maker's ratio, then stir in pigment or glitter slowly to avoid bubbles.
- Pour into each cavity, keeping the level just under the rim and clear of the thread posts.
- Pop surface bubbles, then leave the mould level and undisturbed to cure.
- Flex the silicone gently and push the charm out from the back, then thread it onto your rakhi cord.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many rakhis can I make at once?
Five per pour, one in each cavity, and every one comes out a different shape.
Do I have to drill the thread hole myself?
No. Each cavity has raised posts that cast the holes in, so the charm is ready to thread once it is out of the mould.
How is this different from a coaster mould?
The cavities here are about 1 inch and shallow, sized for charms. A coaster mould is far wider and takes much more resin per pour.
Can I use UV resin in it?
Yes. Silicone works with both UV and epoxy resin. UV resin cures faster but needs a lamp.
