Which grades are in this 12 pencil tin?

How is this different from the 8B to 2H tin?
This tin reaches harder at 3H and darker at 10B. The other tin runs 2H to 8B with B and H in between, so it has finer steps in the middle.

What is the F pencil for?
F sits between H and HB. It is firm and holds a fine point for clean lines.

Graphite pencils or charcoal, which should I pick?
Graphite draws grey with a slight sheen and erases cleanly; charcoal draws matte black and smudges. Pick graphite to learn control and detail, charcoal for the blackest darks.
