Spiral Wave Candle Holder Mould | 6x6x4cm | Pack of 1 - Resin Vessel

Cast a small barrel vessel with a twist running up the wall, a shape that looks far more involved than the single pour it takes. This white silicone mould measures 6x6x4cm with an open well inside.

Specifications

Perfect for

• Twisted concrete candle vessels
• Ring and pin pots
• Small bud vases
• Gift candles

Compatibility

Works with: epoxy resin, plaster of Paris, cement, jesmonite, candle wax and melt and pour soap base.

Pairs well with: resin pigments, mica powder, dried flowers, tealights and pre-waxed wicks.

Not suitable for: food use, oven baking or direct flame; we state no food grade or heat rating for this mould, so keep it to resin, cement, plaster, wax and soap. Do not use the cast as a burning vessel without a tealight in its own cup.

How to Use

1. Wash the mould in warm soapy water and dry it fully before the first pour.
2. Pour slowly down the inside wall, then tap the board for a minute so trapped air rises out.
3. Let the piece cure fully to the time your material states, since an early release tears the edge.
4. Peel the silicone back from one side and work round the rim; sand any seam with fine paper.

Before You Buy

• Sold as the silicone mould only. Resin, cement, plaster, wax, wick and pigment are not included.

• The pack advises keeping the mould away from sharp objects and open flame, and washing it with mild soap and water before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size vessel does this mould cast?
The mould measures 6x6x4cm (2.4x2.4x1.6 inch), so the cast sits just inside those figures.

How is this different from the Candle Jar mould?
This 6x6x4cm vessel has a twisted wall. The Candle Jar mould is 8x8x6cm and straight sided.

Can I pour cement and jesmonite as well as resin?
Yes. The flexible silicone takes epoxy resin, plaster of Paris, cement, jesmonite, candle wax and melt and pour soap base.

Cast my own vessel or buy a ready candle jar?
A ready jar from our candle cups and jars range is fill and go. This mould lets you cast the vessel yourself in the colour and material you want. Pick the jar for speed and the mould for a range of your own.
