This wax melting spoon holds 5 ml in a 25 mm bowl on a 100 mm handle, with a blue painted wooden grip that stays cool while the bowl sits over the flame. The bowl has a pouring lip, so a measured pool of wax goes exactly where the stamp is going to land.

Compatibility

Works with: sealing wax beads, sealing wax sticks and small amounts of candle wax, heated over a tealight or a small flame.

Not suitable for: hob or induction heating, and for oven use. It is a hand held craft spoon, not cookware, and we state no food grade rating for it.

How to Use

1. Drop two to three wax beads, or a shaved piece of stick wax, into the bowl.
2. Hold or rest the spoon over a tealight until the wax runs clear with no lumps.
3. Pour in one steady movement onto the seal point.
4. Press the stamp, hold a few seconds, then lift straight up.
5. Wipe the bowl with a tissue while it is still warm, before the next colour.

Before You Buy

• The bowl gets hot in use and stays hot after the flame is out. This is an adult tool, used on a heat safe surface.
• Wax left to set hard in the bowl has to be re melted to come out, so wipe it warm.
• The spoon is the tool only. Wax, stamp and tealight are bought separately.
