Texture paste turns a flat canvas into something you can feel. Beyond Inks texture paste is a thick white artist paste that holds its peaks, spreads through a stencil for a raised motif and dries hard, so you can paint straight over it. The 700g tub is a working size, not a sample pot.

Compatibility

Works with: canvas, MDF, wood, card, paper and stencils, and acrylic paint mixed in or painted over.

Pairs well with: theme and pattern stencils, a palette knife and acrylic paints.

Not suitable for: flexible surfaces such as fabric, which crack the dried paste, and outdoor use unless the piece is sealed.

How to Use

1. Tape the stencil down flat so the paste cannot creep under it.
2. Draw the paste across with a palette knife in one pass.
3. Lift the stencil straight up and wash it before the paste sets.
4. Let the piece dry flat, then paint over it, or tint the paste with acrylic first.

• Thick layers take much longer to dry than thin ones. We state no fixed drying time, so judge it by touch.
• Keep the tub sealed, as a skin forms once air reaches it.
