- A weekend family project
Compatibility
Works with: the colours in the box, plus acrylic paint and acrylic markers, and craft glue for permanent joints.
Pairs well with: a waterproof varnish and twine for hanging.
Not suitable for: heavy rain without sealing, since raw MDF swells when soaked.
How to Use
- Press out the panels and lay them in the order shown on the box.
- Slot the panels together, adding craft glue if you want fixed joints.
- Paint the house and let each coat dry.
- Varnish it before hanging under cover outside.
Before You Buy
- The painted house in the photographs is an example. The kit arrives unpainted and flat packed.
- Near twin: the kids room decor kit is flat hanging shapes with no 3D build.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the bird house once built?
About 10x4 Inch (25.4x10.2cm).
How is this different from the kids room decor kit?
This is 1 house to build in 3D, and the room decor kit is flat hanging shapes.
Does it need glue?
The panels slot together. A little craft glue makes the joints permanent.
Painted MDF or canvas?
MDF cutouts come with the outline engraved, so a child fills in colour. A canvas board is blank, so it suits a child who wants to draw freehand.
